UTC-FAC

the venue

Roland Hayes Concert Hall at the newly renovated UTC Fine Arts Center gives the Lookout Wild Film Festival a truly premium home. Audiences watch our films on an enormous, state-of-the-art projection screen, powered by new professional projectors and huge cinema-style surfaces that were installed as part of the full building gut renovation.  Brand-new, fully padded theater seats, fresh finishes, and carefully tuned acoustics wrap the room in comfort, with clear sightlines and immersive yet balanced sound from every row, even right down front. Just outside, a campus parking garage sits immediately next door, so festivalgoers can enjoy free parking literally a few steps from the lobby before settling in for a weekend of films in a space that feels both luxurious and welcoming.

“When you think about very short list of things that are the most Chattanooga thing ever this is right at the top.  It’s really the soul of what Chattanooga is.  To me, this is the essence of Chattanooga because you’ve got outdoor adventure, the arts and sustainability all coming together and this embodies it all perfectly.  Long may this wave.”  ~Mayor Tim Kelly 2024
